One of the great things about shooting a destination wedding (besides the free food and rum punch) is that you really get to know the couple and their families. I can honestly say Terri and Al and their families are nuts but that is a good thing because so are mine. This couple were a blast to work with and Terri was so open to go anywhere to get great photos and I am sure you can tell by the images below what a difference that makes. I suggested we get off the resort and go into the real Antigua and without hesitation Terri said “Ya, let’s do it” and Al said, “whatever you want Terri” which is always the right answer for a happily married man. Off to town we went and the taxi driver thought I was nuts because I wanted to stop at old burned out buildings little snack carts and old stores. I loved these images and I was so lucky that my roommate Tony agreed to come along and be my assistant and helped make these photos. I am grateful to Terri and Al and hope their family never comes to Toronto and want to stay with me. I am so kidding, I really hope I do run into all of them again soon.

What an incredible day it was for Terri and Al. The weather was amazing and the wedding on the beach was pure magic. Everyone had a blast and it I can’t believe I get to do this for a living. Let me know what you think.

This is the second day I am in Antigua for Terri and Al’s wedding and I am having a blast. The first night we all got to know each other by hanging out in the bar, chatting and drinking way too much rum punch. Thank god I had the good sense not to participate in the Karaoke in spite of the punch. This could have brought me more ridicule than one man could handle.
Terri and Al are awesome and I am looking forward to shooitng their wedding tomorrow. Then on Friday we will be doing a day shooting in town and a trash the dress session and I know this will be a blast. Terri is so into the photography so my job is easy and so much fun. I will post more photos as the week goes on.

I saw this cartoon on a site that talks about photography lighting and I thought it was really funny. The character looks like me and apparently he too likes using small compact strobes. The only difference is my head is larger compared to my body than his.

I thought this was a really funny photo that Sabrina and Julian suggested. This couple was a blast to work with but I am sure you can tell this by seeing their sense of humour.

Hi there,
I wanted to share with you a thank you card I shot and designed for Rachel and Don who had their wedding on New Years Eve. I love creating images for a couple who are really into the wedding photography and believe me it was really cold for Rachel being outside that day but she was an awesome sport.
Hope you like the card as much as I do,
Cliff

I wanted to showcase my best work from the weddings I shot in 2007. I wanted to make sure I included some images from each wedding so please be warned this is a long show and I would love to know what you think of the work.

I am so excited about all the weddings I am shooting in 2008 but I can’t wait to shoot two weddings that will be a blast. The first is Terri and Alain’s wedding in Antigua this April and I am working on my beach body and there is A LOT of work to do. I am also jazzed about shooting Michelle and Andy’s wedding in Italy this October. I have been to Europe many times but never to shoot a wedding. I can’t wait to shoot in the country side as well as Rome. Wow this is a great job I have. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Feels great to have 35 new featured weddings done and I am only two more weddings from having all of 2007 weddings up. Dan and Rachael’s wedding on New Years eve will have the post production work done next week and then only Lyndsey and Greg’s wedding in Mexico and it is done. I am so proud of each of these weddings and I will be working on a best of 2007 slide show so stay tuned. I also want to give a really big thank you to Lisa my assistant who spent 3 days preparing all the files for the update. Without her this place as well as me would fall apart.
Please feel free to comment on any wedding.
